Athens – Clarke County
Youth Is Life™ constituency includes adults and children residing in Athens-Clarke County and the surrounding counties. We offer after-school programs for all ages, focused on minority families with limited resources. We also offer assistance to families who may be facing homelessness. We provide donations of clothes, shoes, food, to low-income families. We assist with community dialogues focused on breaking the cycle of systemic oppression, generational incarcerations, generational stigmas. Advocating for the next generation of leadership, and laying out plans for them to succeed in a system which may be biased against progress, is important for us. Youth is Life provides assessments to establish life plans for future generations.
Every child is unique, children are powerful forces, filled with determination and purpose.
Our mission is to connect the dots between children and their parents. Teaching them to understand and express their rights, individualism, and identity through their unique abilities is important for us. We help them to bridge the gap within their communities. Connecting, developing, and restoring relationships with parents is an important goal.
It’s important to learn and teach family history in order to help relieve generational poverty.
If you don’t know who you are, then you allow others to dictate your life and your future. Transferring wealth to the next generation is important. Empowering youth and parents to rebuild family focused environments is a priority as well as breaking the cycle of systemic generational bias and stigmas.
Knowing and being comfortable with yourself, helps you become the human being you strive to become.
Making a difference includes, allowing kids to live and love themselves first, along with the support and love from their guardians. Remember anything that you loved as a child is connected to the source of your light!
We want to establish a better way to escape poverty, through assessments and strategic planning. Every day we must assess and examine ourselves. Trade-in expectation for appreciation. We provide a family-style, non-judgment, safe-haven. Its purpose is to empower, encourage fair treatment for our youth while engaging in our community. We will build trust and respect in order to help, reach young people. We hope to help break the cycle of poverty, abuse, domestic abuse, systemic oppression, and generational stigmas.
Inspire and Motivate
Our hope at Youth Is Life is to inspire, motivate, and bring awareness to schools about education, entrepreneurship opportunities and the criminal justice system. Other priorities include developing sustainable programs, providing resources, workshops, and training sessions. Adapting positive creative and social change to help lead to a better life for everyone. The future of our nation is up to the next generation, we must help to start the process toward positive change!
